The following is a list of the classes we offer:

• New CHL Class
  Description:
  This is the class for an individual applying for a CHL for the first time, or whose CHL has been expired for more than 1 year. We will teach the full course (in-class, written exam, and range qualification), after which you will be able to send your application packet to the State. We will have 10 hours of in-class instruction and range qualification.
  
  Prerequisites: Basic handgun proficiency
  
  Cost: $125
  
  
  
• Renewal CHL Class
  Description:
  A shorter version of the CHL class geared for renewals. This class will include 4 hours of in-class instruction, and will also include a range qualification.
  
  Prerequisites: Basic handgun proficiency & currrent CHL or CHL expired less than one year.
  
  Cost: $75
  
  
  
• Third Renewal CHL Class (no range qualification)
  Description:
  This is the shortest class we offer. It only requires the in-class portion and written test, but will not require a range certification as per Texas law. You are only eligible for this course if you are on your third renewal. You should call the Texas Department of Public Safety at 512.424.2000 to confirm that you are eligible for this class. If you are not eligible, your application will be rejected by the state, and you will need to complete the Renewal Class with Range qualification again.
  
  Prerequisites: Current CHL or CHL expired less than one year AND 2 previous renewals
  
  Cost: $50
  
  
  
• Individual TX CHL Classes
  Description:
  This is a custom class for either new or renewal CHL applicants that is geared for a smaller group or individual. Since this is a custom class, please call or email for a quote. I can travel to your location or you can come to mine. Price will vary based on location, number of participants, etc.

• One-on-one basic handgun training
  Description:
  This is a course in basic handgun proficiency. It is geared for the person that has little or no experience with a handgun. We will cover the basics of both revolvers and semi-automatic handguns. This will include information on safe handling, rules of firearms, weapon maintenance and cleaning, stance, grip, and trigger control. This is designed to be a one-on-one training, so please e-mail or call with questions or to schedule. The CHL courses will cover only a few basics, but it is assumed that students are familiar with their weapons and shooting. This course is designed to give the student the desired level of proficiency prior to taking the CHL class. At the completion of this class you will be more than ready to take your CHL class.
